De Brakke Grond will be taken over for five days by Rietveld Academie students who were asked to ponder the role of voice in the arts for the exhibition Voice: Creature of Transition.

In co-operation with Rietveld Uncut and Studium Generale Rietveld Academie, the resulting exhibition will feature the works of current Gerrit Rietveld Academie students surrounding the theme of voice and what it can mean in theory and society.

In the form of lectures, performances, master classes, group readings, films and songs, the students will be given space and a platform on which to explain their work and conception of voice.

Four guest curators have also been invited to further contextualise and begin a discussion surrounding notions of voice.
